Family Hiking Day - September 24, 2011

The Appalachian Trail Conservancy (AMC) has designated Saturday, September 24, 2011 as Family Hiking Day! To be held on National Public Lands Day, the AMC is encouraging families to take to the trails - specifically the Appalachian Trail. The almost 2,180 mile trail does have some portions which would be suitable for families.

Hiking with Impunity supports the AMC's encouragement of families going on a hike together. Please visit their website here for more information about this planned event.
